Unlike conventional glass-fiber coalescers, the AquaSep® coalescers come with non-disarming media that increases coalescer water-removal efficiency and offers superior product quality. It makes these water coalescing separators ideal for applications that need to remove entrained water in liquid hydrocarbons and chemicals and applications involving surfactants and liquids with lower interfacial tension.
The AquaSep® coalescers are available in the following variants.
AquaSep® Plus L/L coalescers are designed to offer continuously efficient liquid separation and particle removal for enhanced fluid quality, coupled with low maintenance and disposal costs. The non-disarming media offers protection from surfactants, and the prefilter stage removes particulates leading to extended service life. The integrated stack design allows for a high flow rate, resulting in a small economic size with fewer elements for efficient water removal from fuel. The filters are compatible with a wide range of refined products, including diesel, gasoline, lube oils, kerosene, petrochemicals, aromatics, and LPG.
The AquaSep® Plus L/L coalescers remove entrained water in hydrocarbons to a level as low as 15 ppmv over a wide range of conditions, including interfacial tension as low as 3.0 dyne/cm and inlet water concentration as high as 3% water by volume (i.e., 30,000 ppmv)
AquaSep® Plus oil and water separators remove oil from water over a broad range of conditions in horizontal and vertical configurations.
AquaSep® XS coalescers efficiently separate two liquid phases with a multistage system starting with filtration for particulate matter removal followed by either a single-stage horizontal coalescer or two-stage integrated vertical coalescer. The filter removes free water to a level as low as 15 ppmv over a wide range of conditions, including interfacial tension less than 20 dynes/cm and inlet liquid contaminant concentration as high as 10%.
AquaSep® EL liquid/liquid coalescer system is a lower-cost solution to separate higher solids and medium to coarse emulsions versus competitive cartridge coalescers, mesh pack coalescers, sand beds, and electrostatic precipitators (ESPs). Its cost-effectiveness is due to the ability of each coalescing element to process a higher flow in a higher solids environment while still providing superior effluent quality. The AquaSep EL element provides superior continuous removal of liquid contaminant for existing cartridge coalescer systems, thereby making it a more reliable solution than competitive offerings.
